Artists draw patterns as a decoration for their art and also as an entire piece of their artwork. Patterns are diverse in nature and grab the eyeballs and attention of the viewers. Patterns set the rhythm in a piece of artwork. The various types of patterns are mosaics, lattices, spirals, meanders, waves, symmetry, and fractals.
To spread the word about patterns in art and demonstrate their creativity, The Circle Community brought together a Breaking Patterns Workshop with expert artist Shreeya Pradhan.
About The Artist
Shreeya Pradhan is passionate about art and patterns. She has an Instagram account where she talks about patterns and conveys subtle messages with her work.
The Workshop Began
The workshop began with an introduction of Shreeya and her inspiring journey in the field of art. Shreeya greeted and welcomed all the participants and gave an insight into patterns as a form of art. She emphasized how drawing patterns is a creative play of one‘s thought process and has a freestyle. All the attendees created their own versions of a story and let out their imagination running through the canvas. She happily answered the participant’s queries and encouraged them to think out of the box.
Towards The End Of The Workshop
As the workshop progressed, the attendees got increasingly involved in the process of creating their own artwork. In the end, they showed it on camera and Shreeya appreciated each one of them for their sheer dedication and effort. The workshop ended on a positive note with the attendees thanking Shreeya for sharing her technique and tips with them.
The attendees were from different parts of the country. They also belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. The Circle Community, as always, was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.
