A seascape is a photograph, painting, and work of art that depicts the sea. It is an example of marine art. It also means actual views of the sea itself painted artistically and capturing the waves of the sea.
Seascape painting looks soothing and calm visually and makes us feel as if we are standing at the shore.
To make this art form popular among art lovers, The Circle Community conducted a workshop on Seascape Painting with expert artist Sourima Saha.
About The Artist
Sourima Saha hails from Kolkata and loves experimenting with different forms of art. She is particularly passionate about watercolor and acrylic art forms. According to her, art is like therapy for her.
The Workshop Began
The workshop started with an introduction of Sourima and her journey as an artist. Sourima greeted all the participants and thanked the hosts for the introduction. She gave a background about the art of seascape painting and began creating the artwork.
Sourima began with creating a coconut tree and painted the sky with cobalt blue and orange for the sunset. She created the waves of the sea and used brown color for the stones and the trunk of the tree. She proceeded to color the clouds using light orange to give a sunset feel. She then colored the waves in white and added green color to the leaves of the coconut tree.
Towards The End Of The Workshop
Sourima beautifully made the seascape painting, which made everyone yearn for the beach. The artwork was soothing and visually pleasing as one could picture the waves, sea, and coconut trees coming alive in front of them. The host thanked all the attendees for being a part of the workshop.
The attendees were from different parts of the country. They also belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. The Circle Community, as always, was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.
