One Stroke Painting Workshop: One Stroke painting is a popular and interesting painting technique where double as well as multi-loading technique is used to make highlights and shadows in one stroke. To experience this layered painting style on the auspicious day of Dussehra, Rajasthan Studio curated a One Stroke Painting Workshop invited Maria Manasawala, who is a self-learned artist. She loves to explore various painting styles and enjoys recreating and recycling art pieces through waste.

The One Stroke Painting Workshop Began

Maria began the session by briefing about one stroke painting. She demonstrated the process of loading the colour on either side of the flat brush and explained various strokes and shared some useful tips to master the strokes. Maria shared the process to make the leaves for the tulip painting. The attendees worked along with her, over their paintings.

Maria focused on the fact that “Everyone should enjoy their paintings and go with the flow”. She encouraged all the attendees to try their own unique style. Further, she patiently explained  how to build the tulip using purple and white to signify the colour of the day. She built the structure of the tulip in layers making it look three dimensional. Maria added a butterfly so swiftly using basic strokes, which added so much life to the painting.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

By the end of the workshop, the participants completed their one-stroke paintings and displayed their painting over the camera. Maria was quite content looking at all the work of the attendees. She looked at everyone’s paintings and showered praises. The experience was very informative and therapeutic. All the attendees were happy to celebrate the day making a very bright festive painting.

The attendees were from different parts of the country and belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform.

Rajasthan studio as always was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.

Here’s us signing off until next time!
